Founded in 2002, 25,000 charity volunteers have built 25,000 houses, providing 125,000 South Africans with new homes.
Our new mission is to provide better standards of education to 100,000 children in Africa.
Every year, Niall Mellon together with a phenomenal team organises their now renowned “building blitz” trip to Africa for volunteers from all over the world to travel and lend a helping hand building better infrastructure in under resourced African communities. In conjunction with the South African government, 125,000 local people have been housed in high grade permanent homes, replacing informal housing and inadequate living conditions.
Since 2013, Mellon Educate has set about improving access to better standards of education in African townships. By 2018, the charity has built or renovated 28 schools, providing over 30 000 young children with a better chance at life
With support from the South African government, we have achieved our goal to house over 100,000 South Africans in townships. The Mellon Educate Results Programme sets out a new set of targets.
